“Christianity is not just a choice among many; it is the only choice.”

The Gospel: God’s Plan of Salvation
God has provided a way for us to escape the power of the world, the flesh, and the devil—and that way is the Gospel.
Simply put, the Gospel is the story of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Two Essentials: RepentAnce and Belief
To receive the gift of salvation, two responses are necessary: repentance and belief.
- Repentance means more than just feeling sorry for doing wrong. It’s the deep realization that we are sinners by nature—that we cannot help or improve ourselves. In true repentance, a person humbles themselves before God, acknowledging their need for His mercy.
- Belief means trusting in Jesus Christ as the one who saves us through His shed blood.
These two responses often happen together as a person calls on the Lord for salvation.
Assurance of eternal life
When someone truly repents and believes, they are given the full assurance of eternal life.
Any failure in either area can lead to ongoing doubt and a lack of peace in the heart.
One without the other is not enough.
Someone might say, “I’ve always believed.” But without repentance, there’s no true turning of the heart.
Or, someone might humble themselves through religious practice (as seen in some Eastern religions), but without faith in Jesus Christ, salvation does not come.
Salvation is in a Person: Jesus Christ
Salvation is not found in a place, a thing, or another person—it is found in Jesus Christ alone. We must receive Him.
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
-Acts 4:12
